Business Etiquette | Professional Readiness in Practice
Building workplace confidence through immersive learning
Business Etiquette is an immersive Dreamscape Learn experience designed to help students practice the professional habits expected in internships, part-time roles, and early workplace settings. Rather than teaching etiquette as a list of abstract rules, the experience places learners inside a guided day-in-the-life scenario where they must make decisions, manage responsibilities, and respond to common workplace situations in real time.
The module focuses on four core areas of professional readiness: time management, communication, professionalism, and personal presentation. These skills are introduced through realistic moments that ask learners to think about punctuality, deadlines, email behavior, workplace introductions, meeting conduct, dress expectations, hygiene, and how to interact appropriately with coworkers and supervisors.
By combining narrative progression, interactive decision-making, and end-of-experience feedback, Business Etiquette is designed to help students better understand not only what professional behavior looks like, but why it matters. The goal is to create a practical, engaging bridge between classroom learning and the expectations students will face in internships, campus jobs, and future careers.
Business Etiquette | A Day in the Life of an Intern
Learning professional behavior by living it
This experience follows a student through a full day as an intern, beginning before they leave home and continuing through the workplace and into a professional meeting environment. Along the way, learners make choices about appearance, preparation, communication, and conduct, gradually building a picture of what it means to show up professionally in a real-world setting.
The journey begins in the dorm, where learners shape first impressions through character setup, clothing decisions, and personal hygiene. From there, they move through the commute and into the office, where they are introduced to coworkers, guided through workplace expectations, and asked to navigate tasks such as checking email, managing a calendar, and responding appropriately to others. The experience then culminates in a meeting scenario that reinforces attention, note-taking, and the importance of avoiding distraction in professional settings.
Throughout the experience, a task assistant named BIZ-E helps keep learners on track by displaying time, presenting a to-do list, and reinforcing the importance of organization and time awareness. At the end of the module, students receive a Professional Skills Report that reflects how their choices shaped outcomes across the four core skill areas, helping transform the experience from simple simulation into guided self-assessment.
Career Preparation Through Immersive Practice
Business Etiquette is designed as an accessible, practical introduction to professional behavior for students preparing for internships, part-time employment, and early career experiences. By allowing learners to practice workplace decision-making in a low-risk immersive environment, the module supports confidence-building, reflection, and skill development in ways that are both memorable and directly applicable beyond the classroom.
