Unity + Generative A.I. : 04
Make New Obstacles with Prefabs

In Unity + Generative AI (Part 4), we level up from simply swapping art to actually creating new obstacles using Unity prefabs—the same workflow you’ll use in real games and prototypes. You’ll learn how to duplicate an existing obstacle, open it in Prefab Mode, replace the visuals with your own AI-generated sprites, and keep the gameplay pieces working (colliders, scoring zone, and movement).

This video is all about turning generative art into usable content. Instead of generating a single image and dropping it in, you’ll build a clean pipeline where the game can randomly spawn different obstacle types (pipes, obelisks, lasers, boss attacks—whatever you invent). We also cover quick playtesting and simple adjustments that make the difference between “cool” and “unfair,” like collider size and spawn spacing.
